What is the difference between "Frozen Hell" and the story as originally published, "Who Goes There?"
The big difference is additional material. The manuscript for “Frozen Hell” is 45 pages longer (!) than the manuscript for “Who Goes There?” – and most of the new material is set before the opening chapter of “Who Goes There?” It fleshes out the backstory. There are also a few plot differences.

Will the hardcover have a dust jacket?
Yes! It will definitely have a dust jacket. Bob Eggleton has agreed to do the artwork, should we reach our stretch goals, but we have not yet discussed format. Depending on what he wants to do, it will either be front cover art (repeated without text on the back cover so you can see it) or art that wraps around from the front cover to the back cover. Bob is a great talent and we will leave it up to him and his inspiration.

Is there a bug in the shipping charge for ebooks? (YES.) Ebook shipping is free, right? (YES.)
This seems to be a Kickstarter bug. We have reported it. Please go ahead with your support—the shipping charge shows up as $0 in the confirmation. (We promise you won’t be charged for shipping on ebooks!)

What ebook formats are available?
All of the ebooks are all available in multiple formats: epub, Kindle (.mobi), and .pdf. You won’t have any trouble finding a device that supports at least one of these formats.

What is the providence of the manuscript? How was it discovered?
The manuscript was discovered in Campbell’s papers by scholar Alec Nevala-Lee while researching he was doing research for his upcoming book, Astounding: John W. Campbell, Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, L. Ron Hubbard, and the Golden Age of Science Fiction (HarperCollins, available Oct. 23, 2018). Alec alerted the us to this exciting find, which led to this Kickstarter. See the new $20,000 stretch goal (when posted) for more information.
We are thrilled to be adding a new Preface by Alec Nevala-Lee. I’m sure he will have a lot more info about finding the manuscript.

What is the print run of the hardcover edition?
We were planning to print a thousand copies, but it looks like that won’t be nearly enough for all the backers! The actual print run will have to be set after the Kickstarter is completed. I anticipate printing several hundred copies over the actual number required. I know, from many years’ experience in publishing, that there are always a few lost or damaged copies, contributors who need extras, review copies, etc. etc. etc. If we print exactly the quantity needed, we definitely won’t have enough.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
